Charles Leclerc and Alexandra Saint Mleux’s ‘Special Event’ With Prince Albert Turn into a Full Blown Party
Nervousness, tears, ecstasy, and more tears – so went the emotional tale of Charles Leclerc‘s historic Monaco GP victory. He became F1’s first Monegasque to win the prestigious race, as the resident fans witnessed a home winner for the first time in 93 years. The Monaco royal family also shed tears as they presented him with the winner’s trophy. While the rest of the world moved on from the glorious moment, Leclerc, his girlfriend, Alexandra Saint Mleux, the royalty, and Monaco had just begun partying.
After the race, Ferrari Team Principal Frederic Vasseur revealed that Prince Albert invited him for dinner and late-night celebrations. While he was rather subdued in admitting that, his star driver didn’t hold back. “Tonight I’m going to party like an animal,” Leclerc said, adding, “I need to have a discount for tonight.”
Voila! The discount and the party presented itself. Prince Albert and Princess Charlene held a special event to celebrate their home hero’s unparalleled feat. Accompanied by Alexandra and Team Boss, Vasseur, all chicly dressed in black, Leclerc graced the royalty-held event. The royal couple was also spotted at the Jimmy’z nightclub in Monte Carlo later on Sunday.

The grandeur of the celebration displayed how much joy and pride the 26-year-old Ferrari driver brought to the small sovereign state. He even gave a heartfelt tribute to his late father after that race. But his tribute to his mother, Pascale Leclerc, in a later interview, went under the radar.
Charles Leclerc pays ultimate tribute to his “incredibly strong” mother
After five terrible home races in six years, Charles Leclerc finally broke his curse in the sixth attempt. The Monegasque admitted that he couldn’t stop thinking about his father during those “difficult” 78 laps. A few interviews later, the Ferrari talisman also emphasized on his mother’s tireless contribution that led him to this gratifying moment.
“I did not only accomplish my own dream but also the one of my father, the one of my mother as well,” he told F1TV post-race. “She has sustained me in everything I have done since then. She has been an incredibly strong woman.”

In the winning moment, Leclerc had no critics. The Monaco GP might have been termed ‘boring’, but the concentration required to endure 78 laps without hitting the barriers of the ever-so narrow street circuit is a mammoth task in itself. With the Canadian GP up next and smiles aplenty in Ferrari, their Maranello headquarters could adorn a third flag of victory.
