Man Fired Shots At Occupied Vehicle After Dispute: Wallingford Police
WALLINGFORD, CT — A Wallingford man is accused of firing several shots at a vehicle after the occupants allegedly committed a crime at his home, according to police.Donald Lubanda, 41, was arrested Friday on a warrant in connection with the dispute, according to Lt. Stephen Jaques.Jaques said police responded to Parker Farms Road around 10:30 p.m. on May 4 on a criminal mischief complaint.Officers met with the complainant who said that a juvenile used a BB gun to shoot out the back window of one of his vehicles and slashed one of his tires, according to Jaques.“Officers learned of a dispute between the parties involved at a secondary location in town in the area of Ridge Road and quickly responded there to de-escalate the situation,” Jaques wrote in a news release. “Members of the Wallingford Police Department Detective Unit responded and learned that Lubanda had fired shots into the vehicle of the suspect of the criminal mischief complaint, striking it five times.“Detectives conducted an in-depth investigation into the circumstances surrounding the second shooting. As a result, Detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Lubanda.”Lubanda turned himself in on an arrest warrant on Friday, according to Jaques.Lubanda was charged with criminal attempt at first-degree assault, illegal discharge of a firearm, and first-degree reckless endangerment.
