Man Wanted For Questioning In Fatal Huntington Station Hit-And-Run: PD
HUNTINGTON STATION, NY — Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and detectives are seeking the public's help to identify and find a man wanted for questioning in connection with a fatal hit-and-run crash that happened in Huntington Station in May, police said.Amilar Velasquez, 37, of Huntington Station, was walking northbound on the shoulder of West Hills Road around 12:15 a.m. May 5 when he was struck by a dark-colored vehicle that drove away, police said. Velasquez was pronounced dead at Huntington Hospital. Detectives want to speak to the man pictured who was seen at a nearby establishment before the crash, police said.Earlier this month, police said the crash happened in Dix Hills, but later confirmed Huntington Station as the correct location.The car that Suffolk police said fatally struck Amilar Velasquez, 37, of Huntington Station, on May 5.
