All the running backs? New On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine pick for Ole Miss
The transfer portal continues to turn regardless of what the calendar says. Ole Miss has been one of the pioneers of the new era and it would appear Lane Kiffin and Co., could continue this trend as soon as Friday.
Former Miami (Ohio) running back Rashad Amos took a visit to Ole Miss this week and things, per sources, went extremely well. So well, I have decided to enter a Recruiting Prediction Machine flip pick in for the now Colorado commit to change his commitment to Ole Miss. On3’s Pete Nakos has followed suit and entered one as well.
The former South Carolina transfer played in 13 games with the Gamecocks before leaving for Oxford, Ohio. The 6-foot-2, 234 pound prospect then had a breakout year in 2023 with the RedHawks.

Rashad Amos initially committed to Mississippi State before flipping to Colorado.
Things started to develop when rumors surfaced about new Ole Miss commit Jacory Merritt. After playing at Alabama State and transferring to New Mexico, he committed to the Rebels earlier this month. But, it would appear he has exhausted all of his eligibility and will not be able to contribute this fall in Oxford. This is still a developing situation, but sources tell OMSpirit Ole Miss is not overly optimistic as of this writing.
Amos rushed for 1,075 yards and 13 touchdowns last season. He ranked third in the Mid-American Conference in rushing yards and finished second in touchdowns.
He topped 100 yards four times this past year and had a career-high 180 rushing yards on 33 carries against Appalachian State in the Cure Bowl December 2. During his time with South Carolina, he only totaled 106 yards rushing on 20 carries.
The Fayetteville, Ga., prospect played his high school ball at Sandy Creek. There, he ran for 1,324 yards with 30 touchdowns as a senior. Also added 478 receiving yards and six more scores, helping the Patriots to a 12-2 record and a spot in the state GHSAA 4A semifinals.
