Helene Recovery: How to help hurricane victims now
EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — Hurricane Helene, already one of the deadliest storms in U.S. history, destroyed homes, businesses, and natural landscapes when it made landfall Thursday evening, knocking out power and cellular service in both coastal and inland areas.
The human toll and need for relief is tremendous.
People and communities are coming together around the U.S. to help. One of the most effective and easiest ways to contribute to that effort is by donating to the American Red Cross.
WPRI 12 and FOX Providence, along with parent company Nexstar Media, are facilitating a donation drive to help victims and communities of Hurricane Helene.
