TV presenter and activist Sophie Morgan has announced she’s ‘parting ways’ with Loose Women, as she shared several career and life updates with fans.
The 39-year-old presenter, who is paraplegic after suffering a road traffic accident in 2003, when she was aged 18, joined the Loose Women panel in November 2021, alongside the likes of Charlene White, Judi Love, Denise Welch and Katie Piper.
However, more than two years later, she’s now quit the show and has announced her work with several other exciting projects.
Sophie took to Instagram to share the news, telling followers about a few updates in her life.
She wrote: ‘Firstly, as some of you know, it has been a dream of mine to live and work in the US for some time now, and it has finally become a reality.
‘I find live here so accessible; I feel like a different person, more free and less disabled – thanks partly to the ADA, the weather and the general positivity!
‘I will be based between LA & London and am excited to continue sharing my adventures with you all.’

She went on to say that she’s not only moving abroad, but making a massive career change too, after landing ‘the biggest broadcast gig of my career’.
Sophie teased: ‘I’ll give that the time, platform and excitement it deserves on here as soon as I’m allowed!’
She added: ‘In the meantime (I have been dying to shout about this), for the past 18 months, I’ve been working on a new Channel 4 documentary, and it will be out very soon.’
Her new ‘trailblazing piece of television’, in co-production with Reese Witherspoon’s company, Hello Sunshine, will focus on Sophie’s two passions: ‘authentic representation in TV & disability rights.’

‘It’s been a real labour of love for me and everyone involved, so watch this space.’
She then shared: ‘I also wanted to update you on the latest with Loose Women. Whilst I had an incredible time working there (it was a dream platform for a disabled woman with a lot to say), the time has come to part ways.’
Sophie proudly spoke of the ground-breaking work on the ITV programme that she’s been a part of, including celebrative body diversity in Body Stories, the Facing It Together campaign about domestic abuse and her ‘baby’, Rights on Flights.
Sophie continued her post saying: ‘I hope many more Disabled and underrepresented women get the chance to be on the panel to help educate and inform,’ and highlighting her campaigning and advocacy work for equity in air.
‘We’ve made some unbelievable progress but still have a long way to go,’ she said.
