Driver Flees Scene Of BK Hit-And-Run, 1 Person Seriously Injured: NYPD
BROOKLYN, NY — Police are searching for the driver of a van who struck a motorcyclist leaving him seriously injured in an apparent hit-and-run in Borough Park last weekend. On May 12, at about 3:41 a.m., a 29-year-old man was driving a motorcycle north on 18 Avenue when he was hit by a white van that traveling east on 48th Street, police said. The white van did not stop and fled the scene, police said. The 29-year-old man suffered serious injuries and was transported by EMS to Maimonides Medical Center in stable condition, police said. The NYPD released surveillance footage of the white van involved in the incident.
