Dollar Tree’s $1.50 tool will declutter your bedroom in seconds – plus it’s less than half the price of Lidl’s version

DOLLAR Tree shoppers are rushing to get their hands on a handy tool priced at just $1.50 that will help you to declutter your bedroom in just seconds.
Not to mention, the modern and affordable laundry basket is almost 70% cheaper than a similar product over at Lidl.

Dollar Tree is one of the largest discount chains in the country, selling a plethora of goods starting at just $1.25 at its over 9,000 stores in North America.
From snacks and drinks to homeware, beauty supplies, apparel, and more, Dollar Tree is a top pick for consumers thanks to its low price point, convenient locations, and the “thrill of the hunt” shopping experience.
One popular product over at the discount chain is its assorted Stacking Plastic Laundry Baskets.
The practical baskets are just $1.50 each and measure 17 by 11.5 by 17 inches.
“They are excellent for saving space, sorting clothes, and toting items to and from the laundry room,” reads the product description.
They are highly versatile and can even be used to store toys, crafts, and more, making cleanup a breeze.
The baskets, which come in gray and white, have received much praise from shoppers in the reviews.
“I love these baskets for organizing,” said one shopper, as another commended the product for being an ideal size.
A third customer mentioned that they had ordered the baskets several times, calling them “a great basket for the price.”
Not only are the baskets convenient, but they are also priced significantly cheaper than a similar Lidl product.

The German-based store is selling Livarno Home Laundry Baskets for $4.99 – more than double the price of Dollar Tree’s offering.
Lidl shoppers have slightly more options to choose from, with laundry tubs or baskets available in both beige and blue.
The products have a larger holding capacity than Dollar Tree’s baskets, each measuring 15.75 by 9.84 by 23.62 inches.
COSTLY CHANGES
Over the years, Dollar Tree’s prices have slowly increased.

The discount chain initially sold all of its items for just $1 each, but in 2021, Dollar Tree bumped up its base price point to $1.25 and also began selling $3 and $5 products.
In recent months, shoppers have seen several items they’ve come to know and love jump to $1.50 or even $1.75 – including laundry baskets, which used to sit at $1.25.
Other popular picks have become slightly more pricey now or are expected to soon, including:

Cleaning supplies
Faux flowers
Plastic racks
Food storage containers
Tinfoil
Glassware
Batteries
Plastic cups

Dollar Tree's Biggest Price Hikes

A number of Dollar Tree products are now costing shoppers more than the base $1.25 as the discount chain grows its multi-price assortment in an effort to raise its profit.
For example, shoppers have spotted cleaning supplies such as brooms, dusters, and mops rise from $1.25 to $1.50
Floral products have jumped from $1.25 to $1.75, while some customers saw food items like ramen, bread, and buns increase from $1.25 to $1.50.
Kitchen products including aluminum foil and foil pans now cost $1.75.
A variety of other products may soon become more expensive, including glassware, batteries, plastic storage containers for food, and plastic cups.

In addition to bumping up its prices on certain items, Dollar Tree also began raising its price cap to $7 in March 2024.
The discount chain announced plans to launch over 300 new products with prices ranging from $1.50 to $7 at the time as Dollar Tree expanded its multi-price assortment in over 3,000 stores.
However, the price changes did not sit well with Dollar Tree fans.
“Just call it 7 below… No longer a dollar,” vented one shopper on Facebook.
“Dollar Tree not even a dollar anymore… what has the world come to??????” fumed another.
Although Dollar Tree shoppers are not fans of the price increases, a number of the chain’s offerings are less than $1.50.
For example, Dollar Tree shoppers are racing to buy a “perfect” back-to-school essential for just $1.25 – it’s 74% cheaper than Amazon.
Plus, shoppers are “obsessed” with three Dollar Tree buys – including a “2-for-1” deal for just $1.
