Jax Taylor may have moved out of the home he shares with Brittany Cartwright after she filed for divorce, but despite speculation that he's now living with Tom Schwartz, The Valley cast member recently clarified that's not actually the case.
How to Watch

Jax, more specifically, set the record straight during the Sept. 13 episode of his podcast, When Reality Hits. "Everyone keeps saying, do I live with Tom Schwartz? I do not live with Tom Schwartz," Jax explained. "He has a townhouse that is next to mine, but they are completely separate. We have our own building, but we do not live together."
That's not to say that Jax and Tom aren't taking advantage of their new proximity to one another, though. "He is my best friend at the end of the day," Jax said of the Vanderpump Rules cast member. "And if I need help with something, if I need help with Cruz, he's right there."
Speaking more about his and Brittany's son, Jax said, "[Tom] loves Cruz. And when Cruz gets to come over here, he's gonna love hanging out with Uncle Tom."

Tom can also relate to what Jax is going through right now, as he and his ex-wife Katie Maloney divorced in 2022. As Jax put it, "Having my best friend who's gone through a divorce and we're the same age, it really, really helps. I've been with my wife for 10 years, and now I'm alone, so having my best friend nearby is very, very helpful."
Jax also has several other friends who live near his new townhouse. "I have a couple other buddies that live down the street. I know everyone's thinking like, 'Oh my gosh, they're just going to [have] a crazy, party life,' [but] that's not true," he asserted. "We are all older now. We all have different ideas in life. And I think we have a good support system here, and I really like it."

When did Jax Taylor move into his new house?
Jax shared on the Sept. 13 episode of his podcast that he moved out of the house he and Brittany share "about two weeks ago." He noted that he found the townhouse he's currently living in while he was seeking treatment for his mental health at an in-patient facility.

Why did Jax move out of the house he shares with Brittany?
Following Jax and Brittany's initial separation in February, she had been living in various AirBnbs, while Jax remained in their house in the Valley. However, as of September, "I thought it was a good move for me to get my own place because it wasn't fair for Brittany to keep getting these AirBnbs, and she wasn't sure where she was going to go," Jax explained. "Plus I just didn't want my son to be bouncing around to all these places. It didn't seem right. They weren't his home. It wasn't his house. It wasn't his pool. It wasn't his bedroom."

Details on Jax Taylor's new house
Jax described his new place of residence as "absolutely beautiful, brand new, very secure, updated, remodeled, [and] super safe for Cruz."
"I'm really happy here," he continued. "And I honestly can't wait for Brittany to see this place. I know it's going to take time for her to come here, but I really can't wait for her to see it."
