Matt Murdock is finally back in the new series, Daredevil: Born Again, which premiered on March 4, 2025. Thanks to an exciting easter egg dropped in the debut episode, MCU fans are now buzzing to know whether Spider-Man will be making a brief appearance in the show. Born Again opens a year after Murdock hung up his mask and ceased his vigilante activities. However, with former crime boss Wilson Fisk taking the position of the new mayor of New York City, the Man Without Fear may have to come out yet again.

Is Tom Holland’s Spider-Man in Daredevil: Born Again?
No, Tom Holland does not have a cameo in the debut episodes of Daredevil: Born Again.
Although Tom Holland’s Spider-Man doesn’t appear physically, his presence is felt. The first two episodes of Daredevil: Born Again are packed with Easter eggs and nods to fan-favorite characters. In the opening episodes, Wilson Fisk, aka Kingpin, makes a subtle reference to Spider-Man, sparking excitement among fans about a potential cameo from Holland.
In the show, Fisk enforces his anti-vigilante policies as New York City’s new mayor. At one point, he declares, “We don’t need a gun-toting vigilante who wears a skull on his chest, or a man who dresses in a spider outfit. Or a guy who wears devil horns to save us”. This mention has inevitably fueled fan speculation, raising hopes for a Spider-Man appearance.
Why Spider-Man can’t appear in Daredevil: Born Again
Unfortunately, a Tom Holland cameo as Spider-Man in Daredevil: Born Again seems highly unlikely.
Brad Winderbaum, an executive producer of Born Again, recently weighed in on the possibility of seeing Holland in the show. In an interview with Brandon Davis for the Phase Hero: A Film & TV Podcast, Winderbaum stated that Holland they will not be able to bring in Holland. “You know, I’m not sure exactly what the rules are, but I think [Sony] have long-form television rights, I don’t know if that means he can show up. You can do like 30-minute animation, I think,” shared Winderbaum. Hence, Holland won’t be appearing in Daredevil: Born Again anytime soon, which may disappoint fans.
