Road, lane closures scheduled for ‘Unumb Center 5K for Autism Awareness’

Lexingtooooooon, SC (WOLO) — If you plan on traveling through the Town of Lexington Saturday morning there are several road and lane closures you may need to know about. According to Chief Terrence Green there will be several road and lane closures taking place Saturday, October 19, 2024, prior to and during the Unumb Center 5K for Autism Awareness.
Authorities say the impacted road and lane closures that will be accompanied with detours will begin at approximately 8:30 a.m. on Duffie Drive, Hendrix Street, Gibson Road, Pond View Lane, Satcher Road, and Barr Road. Below is a map if the aforementioned area provided by Lexington Police.

Officials say you can expect road closures on secondary streets located near the route the of the race. Due to changes in the traffic patterns authorities say they will have officers on hand directing traffic in major intersections. All of the streets and lanes impacted by the race will be reopen around 10:30 a.m.
