Übel Blatt Casts Yuya Hirose in Lead Role, Hosts Anime Expo Panel with Manga Creator
Pony Canyon has announced that Yuya Hirose will voice Köinzell, the main character of the upcoming Übel Blatt TV anime series. Additional staff and a premiere date for the anime have not yet been announced.
Hirose provided the following statement below on his involvement with the series.
In addition, Hirose and original manga creator Etorouji Shiono will attend a live drawing session panel at this year’s upcoming Anime Expo on July 5, 2025. Shiono’s editor will also be present. The panel will take place in Room 404AB at the LA Convention Center from 5:15 PM PST to 6:05 PM PST.
Shiono’s dark fantasy manga first debuted in Square Enix’s Gangan YG in 2004, before moving to Young Gangan later that year until 2009. After a two-year hiatus, the manga returned to Monthly Big Gangan on December 24, 200 and was serialized there until March 25, 2019. A total of 24 tankobon volumes were released, with the first volume labeled as volume “0.”

A sequel titled Ubel Blatt II: The Knights of the Deceased King has been serialized in Monthly Big Gangan since February 24, 2024.
Pony Canyon describes the synopsis of Übel Blatt as:
