Earthquake Near San Jose Rattles Bay Area
SAN JOSE, CA — A small earthquake near San Jose rattled parts of the San Francisco Bay Area Sunday morning.The 3.4-magnitude quake was reported at 3:35 a.m. about 5 miles northeast of Alum Rock, a district of San Jose, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The quake was roughly 6 miles deep.Residents reported feeling the quake across Santa Clara County, including in Campbell, Los Altos, Mountain View, San Jose and Sunnyvale, according to the USGS's "Did You Feel It?" map. The quake was also felt in other parts of the Bay Area, including in Fremont.No damage or injuries were reported.
