New Elmhurst Restaurant May Be Low-Key

ELMHURST, IL – A restaurant vacancy in the pedestrian walkway at 115 W. Schiller Court is expected to be filled. It is where Nu Crepes, a breakfast restaurant, closed after a dozen years in January. The new restaurant is Lo Key Restaurant, which will have a cocktail bar, according to city records. It is unclear when it will open.The business owners are listed as Elmhurst residents Salvatore La Spisa and Martin Pawelec. They did not return an emailed message for comment on Monday.In a December social media post, the Martin family owners of Nu Crepes announced the coming closure. "We think that we were successful in delivering the same consistency of our premium, yet affordable product since 2012," they said.
