Century Walk: ‘Heartland Harvest’

September 17 has come and gone and with it the 2024 Harvest Moon. It was beautiful to see as the heavens opened up. It also serves as a good reminder that we here in the Prairie State are harvesting our crops again as we have for so many years.
At Century Walk this annual ritual has been portrayed since 1997 with our fourth public art location at the northwest corner of Main Street and Jefferson Avenue which is appropriately named “Heartland Harvest.”
This intricate placement of Italian glass tiles reflects the changing seasons and Naperville’s rich farming history. The names of these long-standing farm families are scrolled around the perimeter with the developments that now exist in their place.
