One said: "Unfortunately, that was one of the worst exit, I have seen in a long time. Going forward in my mind Nate died in the fire."
A second wrote: "Nate didn’t even get a taxi cab exit? Didn’t get to go out on the bus? Nothing?? He wasn’t even a bad character!"
"So after 5 years, Nate just left the village without saying goodbye to anyone? Pretty poor," said a third.
While a fourth raged: "Wait so after all that, Nate didn’t get an actual exit scene? he wasn’t lying dead in a barn for days and actually just left? everyone needs to be fired for making that awful exit storyline."

He told MirrorOnline: "It's always been in the back of my head.
"My agent was itching for me to go probably a few years ago, but I said to him that it doesn't feel like the right time, I'm in the right place and I'd know when the time is right.
"It never felt like the right time."
Emmerdale's Nate Robinson actor, Jurell Carter, has opened up about why he decided to wave goodbye to the Dales after an emotional five years on the show. Friday night saw his character leave the village for good in a heartbreaking turn of events. Nate was all set for a new beginning in Shetland with his wife Tracy Metcalfe and their daughter Frankie, following their sweet reunion.
However, a grave misunderstanding led to Nate being accused of having an affair with his stepmother Moira Dingle, five years after their fling, despite his insistence that he was innocent. His rejection by family, including his dad Cain Dingle who lashed out at him, sealed his decision.

Despite Cain later discovering Nate's innocence, it was too late; Nate had already disappeared from Emmerdale, leaving viewers in the dark about his abrupt departure. After much speculation and doubts over whether he had met a grim end, Jurell has stepped forward to shed some light on departing the soap.
Speaking to media outlets, he disclosed the reasons behind his choice to exit now, sharing insights into his thought process over the years and what ultimately nudged him to move on, reports the Mirror.
He explained: "It's always been in the back of my head. My agent was itching for me to go probably a few years ago, but I said to him that it doesn't feel like the right time, I'm in the right place and I'd know when the time is right. It never felt like the right time.
"But I feel like I've reached the point where it's now or never, in a sense that if I don't do it now I'll... not live to regret it, but always be wondering 'what if? ' I just didn't want that feeling. I feel like five years is the perfect time for me as an actor to try and move onto something else."
He continued: "It's just been massive for me as well. The character of Nate and myself share a mindset of wanting to go onto a next chapter, but also just being emotional and sad over leaving everything behind. That's how I feel as an actor, in terms of leaving a show that I love.
"I would speak to some of my colleagues and say it's a weird one, because it's not like I hate my job, it's not like I hate my surroundings or the people that I'm working with. I love everyone and I love the job. I'm excited for my future but I'm also sad to be leaving behind such a beautiful show and beautiful people."
