On300 OL Breck Kolojay fired up about recent offer from Michigan
Michigan’s entire offensive staff recently made its way down to national powerhouse Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy, which is loaded with top talent from around the country.
The visit resulted in an offer to On300 2026 offensive lineman Breck Kolojay, who was thrilled when he received the scholarship.
“It was really exciting,” Kolojay said. “Obviously, Michigan is a great program. It’s an offer I’ve wanted for a while. When I got it, I was really excited. They have the most NFL guys for offensive linemen. I love to see that. The history with Taylor Lewan and 20 others I can name is great. Coach (Sherrone) Moore is an offensive line coach that’s now a head coach, so he prioritizes big boys. I feel blessed to be recruited by Michigan.”
A native of Colorado, Kolojay is part of the same training program, Six Zero Academy, that has produced current and former Michigan offensive linemen like Drake Nugent, Connor Jones and Reece Atteberry.
That connection should help the Wolverines in this recruitment moving forward.
“Being a Colorado guy, they have lots of Colorado offensive linemen on their roster, so that’s exciting,” Kolojay said. “I lived three minutes away from Drake Nugent. I’ve been looking up to all of those guys.”
New Michigan offensive line coach Grant Newsome is leading the way with Kolojay and is already making a strong impression.
“I’ve been talking to him for two months on the phone,” Kolojay said. “He told me my film was good enough to offer, but he wanted to build a relationship. We’ve been building that since before the offer, so I really like that. I enjoy talking to him. He’s a great coach.”
Kolojay added that he was impressed with U-M’s run to the national title this past season.
“That was awesome,” Kolojay said. “My family and I all watched that national championship game together. It was great to see the Colorado guys representing. I want to go to a school that competes for national championships every year, and Michigan is definitely one of those schools.”
The next step for Kolojay is making his first visit to Michigan, which he hopes will happen at some point next month.
“I’m looking forward to scheduling one for this summer,” Kolojay said. “I want to go up there with my mom and do a workout with Coach Newsome. I want to get a feel for the area and meet the whole coaching staff. Just a basic feel for the place.”
Along with Michigan, Kolojay holds offers from Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, LSU, Miami, Oklahoma, Oregon, Texas and others.
At 6-foot-5, 295 pounds, Kolojay is ranked as the No. 14 interior offensive lineman and No. 196 overall recruit nationally, per the On3 Industry Ranking.
