As we wrote leading up to this poll, Nets fans hoped the 2024 NBA Finals would offer some solace. Instead, it’s just another reminder of the past, whether it be mistakes or things that simply didn’t work out.
Kyrie Irving leads the Mavericks into the Finals alongside Luka Doncic. Jason Kidd is head coach and he, like Irving, left on unsettling terms. On Boston’s side, it’s more of the same from the infamous trade in 2013 that ultimately led to the Celtics landing Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown.
Some have moved on. Some have not. The results speak for the case:
