Weather Now: Showers today; cooler weather ahead

Good morning! I hope you had a nice weekend. Weather-wise, it was very nice. Today we'll see some rain showers around, then it gets cooler for the rest of the week. We're also tracking Hurricane Milton in the Gulf of Mexico. Milton will impact the west coast of Florida mid week....more on Milton below.
Did you catch the aurora last night? It was brief, but amazing. Check out this picture from Coventry around 8PM.

Milton is expected to form into a major hurricane today with winds of at least 111mph, then curve northeastward toward the west of Florida, possibly making landfall near Tampa Bay. It's impacts will be far beyond where the center makes landfall, however.
The core of the winds could be between 130-140mph as it makes landfall on the west coast of Florida.
Flooding rains are expected, especially to the north of the track, where 6-12" of rainfall is possible.
The life-threatening storm surge is expected to be between 8-12 feet along a big portion of western Florida.
