Woman and young man found dead at home in quiet village with murder probe launched – as man, 63, is arrested
A MURDER investigation has been launched after a woman and young man were found dead at home.
Calogero Ricotta, 63, of Cambridge Road, Ugley, has been charged on suspicion of murder following the grim discovery in the village of Ugley in Essex on Tuesday evening.

Cops were called to Cambridge Road around 9.50pm following reports of two people being seriously injured.
When officers attended they found Maria Nugara, 54, and her son Giuseppe Morreale, 29, who both died at the scene.
Ricotta faces two charges of murder and one count of actual bodily harm.
He is due to appear at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court today.
Neighbour Linda Cooling, 57, a sales worker, told Essex Live that the family at the house “kept themselves to themselves” and had various animals.
Ms Cooling said: “I know they had dogs and they were very well looked after. I know they used to have chickens.”
Another neighbour, who did not want to be named, described the deaths as “shocking”.
They said the family kept dogs and “large-breed rabbits” and that she used to buy eggs from them.
The neighbour said: “She was a nice lady, friendly and that.”
Detective Inspector Lydia George said: “My thoughts are with the loved ones of the two people who were killed in Ugley last night.
“This will be an unimaginably difficult time for them and they will be supported by specialist officers.
“I know this incident will cause concern among within the local community but I want to reassure them that we have a team of experienced detectives and staff investigating.
“At this stage we do not believe this incident poses a risk to the wider public and we’re not looking for anyone else in connection with it.”
