While these are speculations, executive producers Amanda Burrell and Susan Downey recently shared their take on a potential season 2 in an interview with TheWrap. Burrell mentioned how they love these characters and would love to tell more stories. However, they are currently focused on The Sympathizer and want the world to see it first. Downey said, “There’s more story to be told for the Captain’s journey in this world.” “I’ve been part of other things that have had sequels, you just have to get the first one right, you can’t look too far past that or you’re going to mess something up,” she added.
