Aaron Rodgers suffers major blow as Minnesota Vikings withdraw from race to sign him

The Minnesota Vikings have decided they will not be pursuing a deal for Aaron Rodgers.
NFL insider Tom Pelissero announced early Wednesday that the Vikings have rejected multiple trade calls for J.J. McCarthy and told teams the former Michigan star will be their starting quarterback.
Vikings coach Kevin O'Connell still wants to bring in an experienced quarterback to support McCarthy but it will not be Rodgers.
Rodgers is still looking for a new team after getting released by the New York Jets. It now looks likely he will join either the Pittsburgh Steelers or New York Giants.
