BREWSTER, NY — The Clock Tower Grill and the Tenmile Distillery are teaming up for a special dinner Wednesday night pairing a special menu with the Wassaic company's single malts."Guests of ours at Clock Tower Grill visited Tenmile Distillery when it first opened and were very excited about their products," Chef Rich Parente told Patch. "They recommended we meet the owners and we hit it off. We really like their spirits and have done a dinner before that highlighted other spirits they make like gin and vodka but this is the very first time we are doing a dinner with only Little Rest single malts from Tenmile." The 5-course Single Malt Dinner will highlight game meats paired with new and signature Little Rest single malt releases from Tenmile, and distiller Cole Peck will be on hand to talk about each single malt. The one-of-a-kind dinner ($125) offers the best of local ingredients, both food and spirits-wise, because the Parentes source all their ingredients from within a 70-mile radius of the Brewster restaurant, including raising pork and lamb on their Clock Tower Farm, while Tenmile Distillery uses only New York State-grown barley for their Little Rest single malt whiskey. "The dinner includes new spring whisky releases – it’s a fun way to try something new and be the first to do so when new bottlings become available.
