This is what happened in recent scenes on the game show, and one player’s boneheaded move nearly cost her the win. So, what happened in recent scenes?

When The Price Is Right players step up to the stage on the game show, they never know what they are going to get. There are a lot of variables involved, as the games people play and the prizes people can win are all completely random, and essentially, the luck of the draw.
This is a lot of what keeps The Price Is Right fans tuning in, as the element of the unexpected is something that keeps everyone on their toes, players and viewers alike. Whether it’s a car, a new furniture set, or something else, it’s a roll of the dice with each new segment.

Game Show Contestant Nearly Ruins Chances With Silly Guess
In recent The Price Is Right scenes, a player was tasked with the game, Rat Race. If the player played her cards right, she could walk away with a utility wagon, as well as new tennis and golf gear. If that were not enough, a new car was also at stake. So, there was plenty of motivation to want to do well in this game.
With Rat Race, she had to guess the price of items within a dollar, within ten dollars, and within one hundred dollars. For each correct guess, she would be given one rat in the race. If one of her rats came in first, she would win the car. If they came in second or third, she would win the tennis and golf gear, the utility wagon, and so on. So, the idea is, the more correct guesses and the more rats you have in the race, the better your odds will be.
For four ounces of horseradish, she guessed that the price was $15. The actual price was $4.99, so, she completely overbid on that and cost herself a rat in the race. Luckily, she ended up getting the next two correct, and she wound up with two rats in the race.
Despite her poor start to the game, she ended up winning both the car and the utility wagon. So, this was an epic recovery when you consider how things started.

The Price Is Right Fans Have A Lot To Say
Despite winning big in the end, a lot of The Price Is Right fans had a lot to say about the early mistake that could have cost this player the win.
One recent commenter said: “15 for horseradish?!”
A second person added: “For someone who had no clue how to play a very simple game, she was lucky to guess correctly to win the car.”
Another person said: “$15? That was by itself a dumb guess!”
