4 Arrests Made In Connection With Wintertime Robbery In Glastonbury

GLASTONBURY, CT — Several arrests have been made in connection with a robbery on Feb. 4 at Mobil Gas Station at 2997 Main St. in Glastonbury, police said. The station sits at the corner of corner of Main Street and Putnam Boulevard.According to warrants, two man, initially described as being 18-to-25 years old, entered the gas station's store and demanded money. One man pointed a gun at the clerk while the other acted as a lookout, according to warrants. Four were involved either directly or on the periphery, police said. Frankie Almodovar-Roman, 22 ,of Hartford, was charged with third-degree burglary, conspiracy to commit third-degree burglary, fifth-degree larceny, conspiracy to commit fifth-degree larceny, sixth-degree larceny, conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny, first-degree robbery, conspiracy to commit first-degree robbery, larceny of a motor vehicle and conspiracy to commit larceny of a motor vehicle. Police said Almodovar-Roman was arrested in Manchester on April 30. He is being held on a $500,000 bond and his next court date in Manchester is June 7, judicial system records indicate. Kevin Ortiz-Rivera, 21 of Hartford, has been charged with third-degree burglary with a related conspiracy, criminal possession of a firearm, first-degree robbery with a corresponding conspiracy, first-degree threatening, reckless endangerment, fifth-degree larceny with a corresponding conspiracy, sixth-degree larceny with a corresponding conspiracy, and larceny of a motor vehicle with a corresponding conspiracy.Rivera was arrested in Waterbury, on May 2 and his bond was set at $1.5 million, police said. Nelson Colon-Davila, 23, of Hartford, was charged with third-degree burglary and a corresponding conspiracy, first-degree criminal mischief, fifth-degree larceny with a corresponding conspiracy and conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny, first-degree robbery and larceny of a motor vehicle. Colon-Davila was arrested in Enfield, on May 1 and his bond was set at $750,000 bond, which was reduced to $400,000. He remained in custody this week and is due back in Manchester Superior Court on June 12, judicial system records show. Rosa Mercedes, 25 of Hartford, was charged with third-, fifth- and sixth-degree burglary, all with a corresponding conspiracy charge, conspiracy to commit first-degree robbery and larceny of a motor vehicle with a corresponding conspiracy. Mercedes was arrested in Hartford on May 2 and is currently in custody on a $200,000 bond. She is due in Manchester Superior Court on June 18.Investigations determined that Almodovar-Roman and Ortiz-Rivera entered the gas station and committed the robbery.
