Janey Godley has shared the emotional reunion with her beloved dog Honey as she received palliative care following her cancer diagnosis.
The Scottish comedian, 63, who began her stand-up career in 1994, was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in 2021.
Last month, she announced she was receiving ‘end of life care’ after the chemotherapy she was undergoing ‘ran out of options.’
She has continued to update fans on her social media, sharing a touching reunion between her and her adorable dachshund Honey.
Janey shared a video of the pooch wrapped up in a green blanket and lying next to her on a bed while she stroked Honey’s ear.
A separate video showed Honey shaking with excitement as she greeted Janey, with the comedian soothing her saying ‘I know, I missed you too.’

The pup couldn’t contain her excitement as she repeatedly jumped up Janey while lapping up the fuss and love from her owner.
In another update, Janey shared a smiling selfie while urging others to open up more about the topic of death after a visit from her husband, Sean Storrie.
‘Husbands coming to see me today- as every day- the sheer love and outpouring of support also talking about death and living in a hospice is a brilliant thing,’ she wrote.
‘People need to have more dialogue around death and how families are affected at this time- it’s scary I know.’
Janey and Sean tied the knot in 1980 when she was just 19. They share daughter Ashley Storrie who followed in her mother’s footsteps to become a stand-up comedian and BBC Radio Scotland host.
The comedian recently used her platform to hit out at transphobic trolls on social media.

She revealed that – even while staying in a hospice – she had been hit with vile tweets attacking her for defending the UK’s trans and LGBTQ+ population.
‘It doesn’t matter how many transphobes attack me in the last stages of my life, I won’t become them,’ she wrote.
‘I won’t think how they think. It’s a waste of their time banging on at me – I’m not going to be one of them.’
Janey also posted an image of the pink-white-blue trans pride flag and said: ‘Sending my trans people pals all my love today.’
This comes shortly after Janey cancelled her autumn tour Why Is She Still Here? explaining that her cancer had spread.
‘I have to cancel my upcoming tour, I’m sorry but the cancer has spread and the Beatson cancer team have advised me to stop work,’ she wrote at the time.
‘I am currently in hospital with sepsis (it’s under control) pls contact your theatre for a refund – I’m sorry everyone.’
