TORRANCE, CA — Police are seeking the public's help in identifying at least three people accused of forcing their way into a Torrance home on Saturday afternoon. The burglary happened between 1:50 and 2:20 p.m. at a home in the 2200 block of Torrance Boulevard, according to the Torrance Police Department. Police say three people broke in through the front door and were caught leaving the house by the homeowners. They took off with several items, including a handgun, before getting into a green, older-model BMW sedan, and driving off, according to police. Video obtained by several news outlets shows the burglars running away from the area after being confronted by the homeowners. Other videos show them being chased off before getting into a car, speeding off and running a red light. The Torrance Police Department called the crime "concerning" and urged anyone who may have witnessed the activity or had information on the suspects to contact investigators at 310-328-3456."We are committed to ensuring the safety of our community," the Torrance Police Department said in a statement Tuesday morning. "We encourage community members to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity."The article 'Concerning' Home Burglary In The South Bay Prompts Police To Seek Public's Help appeared first on Redondo Beach, CA Patch.
