Stafford Man Faces Multiple Charges In Attempted Carjacking: Police
FREDERICKSBURG, VA — A 21-year-old Stafford County man is facing multiple charges, including attempted malicious wounding and contributing to the delinquency of a minor, in connection with a carjacking at knifepoint incident that occurred on May 24, according to Fredericksburg City Police.Officer Hernandez-Rios responded to Carl D. Silver Parkway after a cleaning crew reported being forced out of their vehicle at knifepoint. Police set up a perimeter and began searching for the two suspects who had fled the scene of the crime on foot. K9 Officer DeCilles succeeded in tracking the two suspects, who were hiding in a nearby field, according to police. FPD arrested and charged Joseph Wells of Stafford County with carjacking, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, attempted malicious wounding, and conspiracy. He was held without bond.
