Rising 2026 WR Allen Blaylock talks Miami after adding Hurricanes offer to growing list
Back in January, Palmdale (Ca.) Bishop Alemany 2026 wide receiver Allen Blaylock was down in Coral Gables for an unofficial visit to Miami and got his first look at the Hurricanes.
Fast forward six months later, and Blaylock has added a Canes offer to his growing list of schools heading into the summer after conversations with Miami wide receivers coach Kevin Beard.
“In January, I was down in Miami and visited campus and got to know him,” Blaylock told CaneSport. “As time went on, our relationship grew, and I ended up getting that offer. It was really because that is my first offer out of Florida, which is a nice opportunity for me.”

While the 5-foot-11, 165-pounder’s time in Miami may have been short, Blaylock felt the love and energy from Beard and the entire Hurricanes staff.
“Really the culture,” Blaylock said when asked what stood out the most during his time in Miami. “Everyone feels welcome, and it’s a great environment. Also, the weather in Miami is different.”
Following a solid sophomore year, Blaylock, who is the No. 333 overall prospect in the 2026 class according to the On3 Industry Ranking, is now up to double-digit offers with programs such as Arizona, Auburn, Colorado, Washington, Tennessee, and Miami in the mix.
“Early on, the process has been going really well,” Blaylock said. “Really blessed to see how it’s going. I’m just going to go harder because there’s really no limit.”
Blaylock explained that academics, a good fit both on and off the field, and strong relationships will play major factors in his recruitment.
“I want to see a school actually show they want me, and I’m not a second option,” Blaylock said. “And then the environment and I look for my major in a school. Also culture and being comfortable on campus.”
In the coming months, Blaylock is hoping to get back to Miami and continue to develop his relationship with Beard and the entire Hurricanes staff.
“For sure, but there’s no set date,” Blaylock said. “I really want to see them show interest and continue to build the relationship.”
CaneSport’s take
Beard has done a great job of making Blaylock feel wanted in Miami early, which is something that stands out to the California native. Getting him back on campus should be the Canes next target and will also be a great indication of Blaylock’s interest level in the program.
