During the day, Sea & Sky features a lunch menu that includes items such as tuna smashburger sliders and yellowtail crudo—each dish showcasing Wells' ambition to represent the Pacific's rich bounty directly on every plate. Eater San Diego reports from Hotel La Jolla that sunset views are part of the deal, with westward-facing windows that open up to let the ocean breeze complement the dining experience.
As night falls, guests can indulge in white sea bass with charred spring onions or choose a more classical indulgence with steak options. Celebrated for his culinary excellence, Wells was a semifinalist in the James Beard Awards 2022 for Best Chef in California and garnered extra attention for his menu at this new spot.
The restaurant doesn't stop at dinner. It also offers a daily breakfast and weekend brunch. "We're Open! 🥂 Join us daily for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and happy hour, in addition to weekend brunch!" the restaurant's Instagram account posted. With dishes like baked eggs with chorizo and apple pancakes, it's clear that Wells understands how to make mornings as delicious as his dinners.
