So it comes as no surprise that Real have four players added to this season’s Best XI.
They are joined by three England stars, one of which is an elite Prem player while another made history in the English top flight.
The puzzle is completed by a forgotten Chelsea player as well as two other former Premier League aces.
The full team has been selected by UEFA’s Technical Observer panel.
Dortmund goalkeeper Gregor Kobel has been chosen in goal by the competition’s bigwigs.
Real’s Dani Carvajal, who stood out in the final, is at right-back with Chelsea loanee Ian Maatsen on the other side after a stunning campaign with Dortmund.
Former Blues’ star Antonio Rudiger has been picked at centre-back thanks to his Real heroics alongside Dortmund’s Mats Hummels.
Los Blancos megastar and England’s own Jude Bellingham is included in midfield next to Paris Saint-Germain’s Vitinha and Dortmund’s Marcel Sabitzer, who previously played on loan at Manchester United.
Manchester City‘s Phil Foden is at the right wing shortly after winning Premier League Player of the Season.
Real star Vinicius Jr, who scored the winner in the final and poses as a favourite for the Ballon d’Or award, is placed on the other side.
Finally, Bayern Munich superstar Harry Kane spearheads the attack.
Carlo Ancelotti has now won 28 trophies
