Chick-fil-A Elevates the Fast-Food Game with First Multi-Lane Drive-Thru in Metro Atlanta
Chick-fil-A, the fast-food titan known for its chicken sandwiches and waffle fries, is pushing the boundaries of quick service with the launch of its first elevated drive-thru restaurant this week in metro Atlanta. As reported by FOX 5 Atlanta, this innovative dining concept is situated in Henry County, Georgia, on Jodeco Road and is scheduled to begin operations on Thursday.
With a focus on customer convenience, the design features four lanes for ordering, with patrons having the option to place their orders directly with a team member or via Chick-fil-A's mobile app. The restaurant's dual-story structure houses a kitchen that, is twice the size of a standard Chick-fil-A, equipped with a conveyor belt system to transport food down to the drive-thru. This new concept is targeted at streamlining the drive-thru experience without compromising the brand's commitment to warm hospitality, a representative for the company conveyed in a statement.
The drive-thru-only venue will operate from 6 a.m. until 10 p.m., Monday through Saturday, catering to the busy schedules of its clientele. According to a statement obtained by Atlanta News First, customers can also use dedicated Mobile Thru lanes to retrieve orders they've made ahead of time through the Chick-fil-A App, in addition to the traditional drive-thru lanes.
Jonathan Reed, Executive Director of Design at Chick-fil-A expressed the company's vision behind this novel establishment, "With the new elevated drive-thru design, featuring our first four-lane drive-thru, we’re aiming to deliver quality food and genuine hospitality in a way that’s uniquely Chick-fil-A, and gives our guests time back in their day." Although this is the ninth establishment to open in Henry County, with another planned for the junction of Jonesboro Road and Mt. Carmel Road, it is the company's initial foray into elevated drive-thru service.
The new location is part of a broader initiative by Chick-fil-A to cater to "on-the-go" customers, which also includes a recently opened mobile pickup store in New York City. Both projects represent the brand's commitment to innovation in an ever-evolving consumer landscape, where speed and efficiency are increasingly valued by customers.
