NYC Flags Will Fly Half-Staff To Mark 1 Year Of Oct. 7 Attacks
NEW YORK — New York City flags will be at half-staff to mark one year of the Israel-Hamas conflict, Mayor Eric Adams announced. City Hall, the Bronx Courthouse, the David N. Dinkins Municipal Building, Brooklyn Borough Hall and the Queens and Staten Island Borough Halls will be lit up in yellow Monday evening. "As we see the devastation wrought on innocent people in the Middle East in the aftermath of this unprovoked attack, the thought of peace becomes even more distant. But that is exactly why we must continue to strive for peace — for the safe return of all the hostages, for the defeat of Hamas, and for an end to this deadly conflict,” Adams said in a statement. Mayor Adams is expected to meet with NYPD officers who are assigned to the October 7th protest detail. Later today, Adams will also attend the one-year commemoration event being held by United Jewish Appeal and the Jewish Community Relations Council.Similarly, Gov.
