Christian conservatives freak out over lesbian kiss in “Jurassic World” cartoon

The anti-LGBTQ+ conservative Christian organization One Million Moms (OMM) has condemned a scene of a same-sex kiss that recently appeared in the Netflix animated series Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous. OMM has encouraged its followers to write Netflix in disapproval of the “LGBTQ agenda [they] are pushing on families and children.”
In Season 5, Episode 9 of the dinosaur-themed PG children’s show entitled “The Core,” two female characters, Yaz and Sammy, admit their feelings for each other and then kiss and hug. Their friends see the kiss and scream and cheer with excitement.

Meanwhile, fans are laughing their butts off over toxic trolls’ misunderstanding of the famously progressive comic book characters.
The show’s fifth season also features a heterosexual kiss between a woman named Brooklynn and a man named Kenji, but OMM focused only on the same-sex kiss, writing, “Netflix has been under pressure from the gay community to portray openly gay relationships in its TV shows and movies, including those created for children. This lesbian storyline makes it extremely obvious.”

“This exclusively gay moment makes it apparent where Netflix stands in the culture war,” OMM wrote. “A children’s cartoon series about dinosaurs is the last place parents would expect their children to be confronted with content regarding sexual orientation. Issues of this nature are being introduced too early and too soon, and this type of content is becoming extremely common and unnecessary.”
“Netflix has decided to be politically correct versus providing family-friendly programming. But Netflix should stick to entertaining instead of pushing an agenda,” the group added. In its petition, which it has asked followers to send to Netflix, OMM wrote, “I do not agree with the LGBTQ agenda you are pushing on families and children in your PG-rated kids’ series.”
OMM — an offshoot of the anti-LGBTQ+ American Family Association — then encourages its followers to sign a petition telling the company to pull its inclusive ad immediately. They claim to have gotten over 13,000 signatures on their petition so far
