Donald Trump Fires Gavin Newsom New Trans Warning: 'TOTALLY DEMEANING'

By Shane Croucher
President Donald Trump threatened to withhold "large scale" federal funding from California if a trans girl athlete was allowed to compete in state finals, contravening one of his executive orders.
Trump said he would call Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom to address the issue and would order local authorities to intervene and prevent the person from competing.
"THIS IS NOT FAIR, AND TOTALLY DEMEANING TO WOMEN AND GIRLS," Trump posted to Truth Social on Tuesday morning.
Newsweek has contacted the California governor's office for comment via email.
Trump's Warning to Newsom
The president did not specify which sport or competition he was referring to.
But a trans high school athlete triumphed in the girls' long jump and triple jump this week at the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) Track Championship Masters Qualifiers.
They will compete at the upcoming state championship in California.
"As a Male, he was a less than average competitor. As a Female, this transitioned person is practically unbeatable," Trump posted.
He warned: "Please be hereby advised that large scale Federal Funding will be held back, maybe permanently, if the Executive Order on this subject matter is not adhered to.
"The Governor, himself, said it is 'UNFAIR.' I will speak to him today to find out which way he wants to go???"

Trump Trans Order Uses Title IX
Trump signed an executive order in February banning transgender women and girls from competing in women's sports. It uses Title IX anti-discrimination law to withhold federal funding from any institution that continues to allow males to compete against females.
The Department of Education launched a Title IX investigation into CIF in February over its intention to allow trans girls to continue competing in women's categories.
Newsom had told conservative commentator and activist Charlie Kirk earlier in May that he thinks it is "deeply unfair" to allow trans girls and women who are biologically male to compete against females in sports.
"It is an issue of fairness, it's deeply unfair. We've got to own that. We've got to acknowledge it," Newsom said on Kirk's podcast, while also noting the need for "humility and grace" because trans people have a higher risk of suicide and mental health issues.
Advocates for Trans Equality, an activist group, says on its website that "all students should have the opportunity to fully participate in school sports free from discrimination based on sex, including gender identity and transgender status."
"For young people, who are playing for fun, for community, and to learn important life lessons, it's clear that there is no 'scientific' reason to scrutinize their bodies or exclude them—they simply deserve equal opportunities to play," the group says.
'I Just Can't Stand for That'
Katie McGuinness, who finished in second place to the trans athlete in the long jump, said she was "very discouraged".
"I remember thinking to myself, 'OK, I need to get a big jump,'" McGuinness told Fox News' "America Reports".
"I ran down the runway and I landed and I watched them measure my mark, and it was 18.9. I just remember thinking that there was nothing else that I could do. That was it.
"I was honestly very discouraged, and I'm a high school senior and winning CIF has always been a goal of mine, and I wasn't able to compete with someone who was genetically different than me."
She added: "There are just certain genetic advantages that biological males have that biological girls don't. Frankly, I just can't stand for that."
The CIF said it "provides students with the opportunity to belong, connect, and compete in education-based experiences in compliance with California law" in a previous statement to Fox News.
This law "permits students to participate in school programs and activities, including athletic teams and competitions, consistent with the student's gender identity, irrespective of the gender listed on the student's records," it said.
