According to police, the operator of the Acura failed to comply and continued to accelerate. Police said the Acura driver was then observed making several unsafe lane changes, using the shoulder and gore areas to pass other traffic. Citing safety concerns, police said, the trooper stopped the pursuit. The officer, however, saw the operator abruptly exit I-91 northbound at Exit 32b onto Market Street in Hartford, according to policeThe trooper further observed the operator fail to stop at a red traffic signal and stop sign before losing sight of the vehicle, police wrote.Based on the vehicle's registration, the trooper utilized open-source internet information and located a phone number for the suspect. Police said the Trooper then contacted the operator, who admitted to operating the vehicle and engaging police in a pursuit. Ultimately, the operator agreed to turn himself in at Troop H, where he was arrested at approximately 2:35 p.m. Thursday, according to police. For the Connecticut State Police news page, click on this link. The article Hartford Man, 19, Caught Going 125 MPH On I-91: Police appeared first on Greater Hartford, CT Patch.
