Love After Lockup star Ashley is fiercely defending herself against catfish allegations. They were brought on by her inmate boyfriend, Julius. Yet, she vehemently denies she ever catfished him and is setting the record straight. Keep reading for further details.

This season on Love After Lockup, Julius has found himself in a precarious situation. He is involved not only with Ashley but also with Alexis. Unfortunately, he has been putting Ashley off, lying about where he was and who he was with. He told her he was staying with his family when, in fact, he was with Alexis. Fans are not happy with Julius and his behavior, but he has a bone to pick with Ashley. He believes that she catfished him and never showed who she truly was. Julius went live and talked about how so many people ask him if he feels deceived by her.

He noted that this was the number one question he keeps getting asked. The Love After Lockup star did say he was more “surprised” and acknowledged she looked very different from her pictures. Furthermore, he shared that he saw Ashley for the first time when the viewers did and was taken aback. Someone compared the moment to when Derek Warner met Monique Robinson a few seasons back. She never let on her actual weight, so he and his siblings were shocked. Although he cheated, they did get engaged but have since split.
After Ashley saw what Julius said about her, she clapped back. She claimed that she had gained weight over nine months to the tune of 90 pounds. Ashley added that they had video visits three times a week while he was behind bars. Therefore, she never lied or hid who she was and is not happy with how he is going about it. Fans did agree she looked far different when she appeared on screen:

After seeing the episode with Ashley and Julius, Love After Lockup fans had a lot to say about her and the catfishing scandal. They did believe she fooled him but many also felt that she was better off without him. He was not deemed to be a good man, and she could find someone way better:

Some were more concerned that Ashley had gained ninety pounds in nine months. They found that worrisome and hoped that she was okay. She had also gotten a “Julius” tattoo but that is now gone. Hopefully, she understands it is important to be herself and that people will love her no matter what.
