Kansas City Chiefs heiress Gracie Hunt defends Harrison Butker after controversial women being ‘homemakers’ speech

KANSAS City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker has some folks coming to his defense after making a controversial graduation speech.
Butker made headlines this week after making a speech criticizing the Pride movement and categorizing women as “homemakers.”

Butker’s made a nearly 20-minute speech where he claimed women had “the most diabolical lies told” to them and then suggested they were more excited about making a family than building a career.
“For the ladies present today, congratulations on an amazing accomplishment,” Butker said.
“You should be proud of all that you have achieved to this point in your young lives. I want to speak directly to you briefly, because I think it is you, the women, who have had the most diabolical lies told to you.
“How many of you are sitting here now, about to cross this stage, and are thinking about all the promotions and titles you are going to get in your career?
“Some of you may go on to lead successful careers in the world, but I would venture to guess that the majority of you are most excited about your marriage and the children you will bring into this world.
“I can tell you that my beautiful wife Isabelle would be the first to say that her life truly started when she started living her vocation as a wife and as a mother.”
Butker was also critical of President Biden in his speech and spoke against abortion and other topics.
“Bad policies and poor leadership have negatively impacted major life issues. Things like abortion, IVF, surrogacy, euthanasia, as well as a growing support for degenerate cultural values and media, all stem from the pervasiveness of disorder,” Butker said.
“Our own nation is led by a man who publicly and proudly proclaims his Catholic faith, but at the same time is delusional enough to make the sign of the cross during a pro-abortion rally.”
Butker’s speech garnered so much attention that the NFL was forced to release a statement reassuring that his words did not reflect the views of the league.

“Harrison Butker gave a speech in his personal capacity,” NFL senior vice president and chief diversity and inclusion officer, Jonathan Beane, wrote.
“His views are not those of the NFL as an organization. The NFL is steadfast in our commitment to inclusion, which only makes our league stronger.”
While the NFL condemned Butker’s words, it appears that the Chiefs have his back.
Gracie Hunt, the daughter of Chiefs owner Clark Hunt, made an appearance on Fox and Friend where she supported her team’s kicker.

Butker's most controversial remarks from speech

The NFL has distanced themselves from the comments

Harrison Butker’s commencement speech at Benedictine College has gone viral after he spoke out on abortion, Pride month, and Covid-19 lockdown measures.
An outspoken Catholic, the NFL kicker urged students to stay on the path of righteousness and religion during his address.
Butker took a swipe at President Biden for supporting abortion rights which he labelled as the “murder of innocent babies”.
“Things like abortion, IVF, surrogacy, euthanasia as well as a growing support for degenerate cultural values and media all stem from the pervasiveness of disorder,” he continued.
“Our own nation is led by a man who publicly and proudly proclaims his Catholic faith but at the same time is delusional enough to make the sign of the cross during a pro-abortion rally.”
Butker went on to call Pride month a “deadly sin,” and suggested it promoted “dangerous gender ideologies.”
He also singled out female graduates in the audience and told them they had been told “diabolical lies.”
“For the ladies present today, congratulations on an amazing accomplishment,” he began.
“I want to speak directly to you briefly because I think it is you, the women, who have had the most diabolical lies told to you.
“Some of you may go on to lead successful careers in the world, but I would venture to guess that the majority of you are most excited about your marriage and the children you will bring into this world.”
The NFL has since responded, saying: “[Butker’s] views are not those of the NFL as an organization.”

“I can only speak from my own experience, which is I had the most incredible mom who had the ability to stay home and be with us as kids growing up,” Hunt said.
“And I understand that there are many women out there who can’t make that decision but for me in my life, I know it was really formative in shaping me and my siblings to be who we are.”
Hunt further cemented her support, by claiming she respected Butker’s faith.
“I really respect Harrison and his Christian faith and what he’s accomplished on and off the field,” she said.
