Spotify Is Hiking Its Premium Subscription Plans Once Again
Spotify has seemingly formed a habit of raising the cost of its premium subscription every year – and sometimes more often than that. The streamer has just shared that it’ll be hiking monthly subscriptions for the second time in a year after previously raising them in July 2023.Last July, Spotify increased all of its plans by $1 USD. The Individual and Duo plans have been increased by a dollar once again at $11.99 USD and $16.99 USD respectively. The Family plan, however, has jumped $3 USD, coming out to $19.99 USD.The only plan that remains unchanged since last year is Spotify’s $5.99 USD Student deal. Announcing the news in a blog post, the streamer said that the raises are so that the company can “continue to invest in and innovate on our product features.”In December, Spotify underwent massive layoffs, letting go of 17% of its workforce, about 1,500 employees.Click here to view full gallery at Hypebeast
