Saber Interactive, the developer behind Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2, has announced a new AAA game set in the Avatar: The Last Airbender universe. But as exciting as this announcement is, there is also a concern to be had. A project like this will no doubt be big and ambitious.

And it might disrupt the development of the other games that Saber is working on. Namely Jurassic Park: Survival and the Knights of The Old Republic remake. So how will the studio manage this kind of workload and project lineup without delays and quality issues?

But can the studio effectively develop the game without delaying one of its other high-profile projects? Without any delays or sacrifices in quality?

In a recent interview, Tim Willits, Chief Creative Officer at Saber Interactive, noted that the success of Space Marine 2 has given the studio the confidence to “dream bigger” with its upcoming projects.
The collaboration between Saber Interactive and Avatar Studios is exciting, especially with Saber’s expertise in creating immersive, large-scale games. But the pressure to deliver is immense, and with multiple projects on their plate, it remains unclear how the studio will maintain its usual high standards.

In addition to Jurassic Park: Survival, Saber Interactive has several other high-profile projects in the pipeline. This includes A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead and John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando. Sabe has a lot of irons in the fire. But given that the studio hasn’t promised a release date for any project, priorities can change at any time.
Saber has won the praise and approval of fans with Space Marine 2, but will the studio step up and become even better with this new opportunity? Or will it falter and fall like others before it? Only time will tell.
