Hainsby, who first shared her breast cancer diagnosis and details with fans in January 2023, was given the all-clear in May. Speaking about her wedding that September, Hainsby told Women’s Health that she was not fully in planning mode because she wanted to “trust her body” before organizing the ceremony."One thing that comes before anything else — before Ben and I start planning a wedding, before anything [else] happens — I want to believe to my core that I can trust my body again," she told the magazine. "That's my main goal — to just say it and believe it."The former dancer, who was officially diagnosed in August 2022, began chemotherapy treatment for 12 weeks that fall, and continued to teach three to four Peloton classes a week — all without sharing her cancer diagnosis."I didn’t just want to feel like a cancer patient all the time, which is what I felt like most of the time," she told Women's Health.

Although Hainsby hadn’t gotten into the nitty gritty of wedding planning at the time, her fitness instructor husband had previously shared some of the couple’s early ideas with PEOPLE.“We’re going in between throwing a massive wedding or throwing a small wedding and a massive party," Alldis told PEOPLE in May 2023. "But, either way, there’s going to be a massive party.”“We said that if we’re going to spend our money on something, it’s going to be on entertainment,” he added. “At our engagement party we had various DJs, but we had a saxophone player… [and musicians] playing brass instruments. We just love music. All of Leanne’s friends are dancers, so I’m sure there’ll be some dancing going on.” For more People news, make sure to sign up for our newsletter!
