Proposed $59M Croton-Harmon SD Budget On The Ballot May 21
CROTON-ON-HUDSON, NY — The 2024 budget and school board vote is May 21, and two seats are up for election on the Croton-Harmon Board of Education.The proposed spending plan of $58,798,307 is 4.67 percent higher than the current budget.The tax levy is expected to rise 2.14 percent.District officials said that the budget would support: instruction, employee benefits, general support, debt service, transportation and interfund transfers."Our budget has been developed with a view toward the next several school years," Superintendent Stephen Walker said. "Through the proposed budget, we include funding for infrastructure and transportation improvements, and seek to build on our progress to provide an educational experience that enriches each and every student academically and emotionally."Proposition #2: Vehicle/Equipment for four vehicles.Proposition #3: Repair Reserve Fund Proposition #4: Croton Free Library $962,222Two, three-year term board seats will be up for election.
