“Yeah, he has practiced every day and, you know, gotten better every day. So his status is still day-to-day and, you know, making a lot of progress.”
Woods has not appeared since the second game of the season back on September 7th. That’s due to a leg injury that he suffered in the first outing of the year.
Woods is one of the top defensive linemen in the country through two seasons with the Tigers. In the opener, he had six tackles and their lone sack of that game. That came after a freshman year where he posted 26 tackles and a forced fumble.
Williams will then not miss any time after dealing with some matters in-game last weekend against Stanford.
“Yeah, he’s good to go,” said Swinney.
Williams had a team-high of four catches in that one for 37 yards. That brings his totals to 16 receptions for 196 yards and three touchdowns, which is either first or second in their receiving corps, this fall.
Both players could now be back in the lineup for Clemson in time for kickoff on Saturday night at Florida State.
