Military Drills At Mercer Airport Will Increase Noise In The Area
MERCER COUNTY, NJ — The Trenton-Mercer Airport will hold military training drills for nearly two weeks beginning June 3.County officials are alerting the public that "routine realistic military training" will be conducted at Trenton-Mercer Airport in Ewing from June 3 through June 14."The training will consist of air and ground mobility operations. During this time, the public may hear some additional aircraft because the training will include increased rotary wing aircraft operations, some into the evening," County officials said. Planning has been done by the U.S. military to minimize impact, the notice said.The training will not be open to the public or the media due to safety concerns.Anyone with questions or concerns can contact NJ State Police PIO, who can be reached at 609-960-4024.The airport averages 308 aircraft per day.
