Former Miami of Ohio RB Rashad Amos flips from Colorado to Ole Miss
Former Miami of Ohio running back Rashad Amos flipped from Colorado to Ole Miss, according to On3’s Hayes Fawcett. Amos took to Twitter to announce he decommitted from Colorado.
“I’d like to thank everybody for the support,” Amos wrote on Twitter. “This has not been for the faint hearted. I’d like to thank all of the coaches that have poured into me throughout this process.
“I really appreciate it. Finding the best fit isn’t a simple task on or off the field. I’ve had a lot to consider thus far. So after speaking on that I would like to decommit from Colorado ! Thank You to Everyone”
Amos, while committed to Colorado, took a visit to Ole Miss this week, according to OM Spirit. This is not the first time Amos changed his mind.
He originally committed to Mississippi State out of the portal before flipping to Colorado.
Amos transferred to Miami (OH) ahead of the 2023 season from South Carolina and had a breakout year for the Red Hawks, rushing for a career-high 1,075 yards and 13 touchdowns. Amos ranked third in the MAC in rushing yards and second in rushing touchdowns this past season, earning Third-Team All-Conference honors.
As a member of the Class of 2020, Amos was a three-star recruit out of Tyrone (Ga.) Sandy Creek, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He was the No. 106 overall prospect in the state, the No. 88n running back in the class and the No. 1,027 overall prospect in the class.
