In case you missed it, this was Charles Barkley on the pregame show: “He (Porzingis) is going to have to be (healthy) if they’re going to win this thing against the Mavs. Mavs are going to be very formidable. That’s going to be a hell of a series.”
Also said Maxi’s return is big. – 8:39 PM

Btw for those curious how Porzingis looked yesterday morning before Game 4, here’s some footage I shot that I hadn’t put out there yet. Wearing sandals, so obviously wasn’t doing anything too strenuous at all. We shall see what his status will now be for the Finals! 🏀 pic.twitter.com/fcrIrvykXp – 1:30 PM

Kristaps Porzingis got the entire month of May off and Boston lost one game.
It was an incredibly loud month for that team.

More on this storyline
“I’m not sure. I don’t know yet,” Mazzulla said when asked Wednesday about a Game 1 return in an interview with Zolak and Bertrand on 98.5 The Sports Hub. “I do know he ramped it up on the court a little bit. Like I said, he’s working really, really hard. There’s been a couple shootarounds where he hasn’t done anything with the team but has been in a 1-on-1 setting kind of ramping it up with the intensity level of it. He’s been getting better and better.” -via Booth Newspapers / May 29, 2024
Kristaps Porzingis is getting closer to a return for the NBA Finals according to Celtics coach Joe Mazzulla. Porzingis has not appeared in a game for Boston since suffering a calf strain on May 1st during Boston’s first round series against the Heat. The Celtics starting center has eight more days to rehab the injury ahead of Game 1 of the NBA Finals last week and Mazzulla hinted on Wednesday that he has taken some encouraging steps forward in his recovery while failing to commit to a return timeline. -via Booth Newspapers / May 29, 2024
Cameron Tabatabaie: Woj says Boston is choosing to take a conservative approach with Porzingis, and that they expect to ramp him up in time for Game 1 of the Finals -via Twitter @CTabatabaie / May 27, 2024
