More great feats will be noted as they are received in the coming weeks.Sacred Heart University, Fairfield CTCaitlyn Caldon of South Windsor was recently initiated into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation's oldest and most selective all-discipline collegiate honor society. Caldon is among approximately 25,000 students, faculty, professional staff and alumni to be initiated into Phi Kappa Phi each year. Membership is by invitation only and requires nomination and approval by a chapter. Only the top 10 percent of seniors and 7.5 percent of juniors are eligible for membership.Southern New Hampshire University, Manchester NHMelina Freeman and Natalie Petersen,both of South Windsor, were named to the winter 2024 President's List. The winter terms run from January to May. Full-time undergraduate students who have earned a minimum grade-point average of 3.700 and above for the reporting term are named to the President's List. Full-time status is achieved by earning 12 credits over each 16-week term or paired 8-week terms grouped in fall, winter/spring, and summer. Western New England University, Springfield MAWestern New England University held its College of Business Senior Awards Ceremony on April 30 in the St. Germain Campus Center. The University honored 13 graduating seniors, selected based on their academic achievement in their major or their overall class standing.Leah Cunha of South Windsor received the Outstanding Student in Entrepreneurship award. This award recognizes a graduating senior selected by the faculty for excellence in the study of Entrepreneurship. Cunha is working toward a BSBA in entrepreneurship.Elizabeth Burnham of South Windsor received the Community Service Award at the prestigious Distinguished Golden Bear Awards Ceremony on May 2 in Rivers Memorial Hall.
