Busy week: Naomi Campbell, 53, made a low-key departure from the Perfect x Valentino party with Mohammed Al Turki, 37, during London Fashion Week on Monday night
The Apple TV+ docuseries sees the runway icon open up about her game-changing career alongside fellow super models Cindy Crawford, Linda Evangelista and Christy Turlington – as the legendary stars reflect on how they came to dominate the fashion industry.
During the start of the fourth episode, Naomi is seen getting flustered on the set of a photoshoot as she exclaims: ‘I think I’m going through menopause. It’s pre-early menopause.’
Speaking exclusively to DailyMail.com about getting to capture the fashion superstar in such a candid moment, director Larissa Bill stated: ‘It’s such a real moment, isn’t it? To see these women in these moments where you’re like, “Oh, that’s so relatable…and that’s Naomi Campbell”. It’s so amazing.’
The London-born model is seen looking sweaty and flustered in the relatable moment as she huffs: ‘I just got into a furnace.’
A male voice is then heard asking if she is okay, to which she responds: ‘No, I think I’m going through menopause. It’s pre-early menopause. Pre-menopause.’
When asked if she would like a ‘little bit of wind’ to help her cool down, the model replies: ‘There’s nothing you can do. It just happens. S**t, Lord.
‘One minute, I’m fine. Next minute, just this furnace comes up… why do men not get menopause?’

Co-director Roger Ross Williams added: ‘Naomi obviously goes through menopause, like every woman.’
Perimenopause is the stage before the menopause. During this time your hormones start to change but your periods have not yet stopped for good.
It usually happens in women between the ages of 45 and 60 and can last for a few months or several years. Once you haven’t had a period for 12 months or more, you’ve officially reached the menopause.
The mother-of-two is also heard saying in a confessional interview: ‘Aging, your body changes and everything changes…’
