Manhattan DA Issues Staff-Wide Warning As Trump Calls for Protests

• The Manhattan DA on Saturday sent an office-wide email warning of intimidation and threats to staff.
• Trump called for protests as the office investigates his alleged hush-money payments to Stormy Daniels.
• The DA’s office appears to be in the final stages before bringing charges against the former president.

Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg privately warned his staff of possible threats and intimidation in an email sent Saturday as the office appears poised to indict former President Donald Trump on criminal charges related to his 2016 campaign.

While Trump posted Saturday in all-caps on Truth Social Politico first reported.

“Our law enforcement partners will ensure that any specific or credible threats against the office will be fully investigated and that the proper safeguards are in place so all 1,600 of us have a secure work environment,” Politico reported Bragg wrote, though he did not mention the former president by name. 

Representatives for the Manhattan DA’s office and Trump did not immediately respond to Insider’s requests for comment.

Trump is Michael Cohen, Trump’s former personal attorney turned critic.

Cohen plead guilty to violating campaign finance laws related to the payment and has been cooperating with the Manhattan DA’s probe.
