Radio hosts Kyle Sandilands and Jackie O Henderson have been tipped to sign a whopping $200 million joint deal.
According to The Daily Telegraph, the pair have been chasing this deal as an incentive to remain at KIIS FM for another 10 years.
Currently, the two personalities are each making a jaw-dropping $5 million a year, as well as an extra million each from revenue and incentives.
And if they get the deal, Kyle and Jackie will be pocketing $10 million each a year.
It’s also been reported that the duo want The Kyle & Jackie O Show to expand to markets outside of Sydney, with Melbourne being one of their key targets.
They’re also “pushing for greater resources to be thrown at marketing and promotion” and “less censorship”.
Whilst the pair are still on their current five-year contract for another 15 months, it’s been said that they’re open to being approached by rival radio networks, with Southern Cross Austereo (SCA) keen on taking them in.
KIIS FM ‘verbally agreed’ to Kyle Sandilands and Jackie O Henderson’s contract terms
On September 16, News.com.au reported that Australian Radio Network, which owns KIIS FM, has already “verbally agreed” to the pair’s jaw-dropping contract terms.
However, it’s believed that SCA also wants to sign Kyle and Jackie on for the same deal.
The controversial duo began working together in 2000, hosting SCA’s Hot30 Countdown. They then moved to the Sydney breakfast slot from 2005 to 2014, before jumping over to KIIS FM.
The Kyle & Jackie O show is the top radio show in Sydney, reaching around 15% of the market’s audience share.
